Westron Fisheries was established in 1991. The operation consisted of 140 crew members. 40 of which were expatriates and 100 Nigerian workers all working cohesively to run and maintain the two ships (Oziri 1 & 2). Its depots located at Ijegun-Egba, Satellite town, make Westron pioneers of the vastly undiscovered region of Lagos. At its peak in 1992, Westron Fisheries was acclaimed to be the largest producers of fresh fish in Nigeria.
